Ole Red is known for having great up-and-coming talent as well as celebrity pop-up performances. Opry entertainment is in charge of selecting all of the acts so you know you won’t ever be disappointed. You truly never know who will show up there! I have actually seen Blake Shelton, himself, perform there during CMA week!
They have the largest LED screen on Broadway and an awesome stage set up. This is a great spot to have a bite to eat or stop in for a cocktail and some live music. Their website describes it like this, “Ole Red gets its name from Blake Shelton’s breakout hit, Ol’ Red, and being here is a lot like hanging out with the guy himself: laid-back and genuine, up for anything, a bit irreverent (but always fun)—and set to great music.” I have been there quite a few times and it is definitely a laid back spot to listen to some great music.
The Champagne of Fried Chicken and the Redneck Nachos are my favorite menu items that are available on the first and second floor! There is a good photo opportunity by the women’s restroom on the 2nd floor (see picture below). If you are a little more prim and proper then you might want a little more upscale experience, in which, I highly recommend checking out their rooftop.
The rooftop bar at Ole Red is called The Lookout and it has a great view of the city. You can make reservations to sit up there but be aware that it takes you away from the live music and offers a separate menu.
Pro Bach Tip:
At night, if you prefer to go to the lookout, where there is a DJ, be sure you are in the correct line. There will be a line on Broadway to get into the restaurant/bar to see the live music or eat and then there will be a separate line on 3rd Avenue which will be for the rooftop!
