The hidden Gems away from the Hustle and Bustle, make for an evening of unique Bachelorette party stops
Recently, I experienced an evening in the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood and let me tell you, I found it worthy of your Nashville Bachelorette Itinerary. There are some really uniquely rare spots for cocktails in this neighborhood!
We started with dinner at Earnest Bar & Hideaway. It is a beautifully dim-lit restaurant with a classy ambiance that I would describe as farmhouse chic. If you are looking for a Fancy Nashville Bachelorette Dinner idea, then look no further than Earnest Bar & Hideaway. They also offer a full brunch menu, but my recommendation is dinner and you have to try the Scallops (if they are the market fish) or the KFC (you guessed it, Chicken).
Next, we went to the Flamingo Cocktail Club. The building is easy to find because of its Flamingo Pink color. You walk up onto a patio with Cabanas and outdoor seating which is perfect for a night out. Once you enter Flamingo Cocktail Club, you appreciate the architecture that reveals its roots as a former Church. This spot has a late-night DJ too for you and your Bachelorette party to get the party started. Just keep in mind that there is a dress code for Flamingo.
Then we headed down to the opposite end of the street to hit up Bastion. Bastion makes you feel as though you slipped into a secret rave because of its warehouse vibe but it is a very laid-back craft cocktail spot as opposed to a wild party. When you leave Bastion you can make your way down the street, toward the train tracks, to Never Never.
Never used to be a Welding shop and the inside is still very industrial. Nestled next to the train tracks, you can get an up-close view of the trains as they pass by while you enjoy your cocktail at the bar. The bartenders mix up cocktails based on what you like so you are sure to get a one-of-a-kind cocktail. When you leave Never Never you will want to make time to venture across the tracks to B1281.
B1281 is a Hawaiian themed patio bar. This truly makes you feel like you should be at the beach with all of the surfer-like attributes this place offers. As you approach B1281, you will notice the gigantic mural on the side of the building that leads you up the stairs to the surfer inspired establishment. There is a food truck with a Hawaiian infused Menu and they serve lunch and dinner throughout the week with the addition of brunch on the weekends. The tropical cocktails take you away and make you feel like you are truly at a surf-side bar. I highly recommend the Painkiller. B1281 is definitely worthy of the trek across the tracks.
So, before heading to Broadway, check out the neighborhood of Wedgewood-Houston for some great food and amazing craft cocktails. Wedgewood-Houston should be a part of your Nashville Bachelorette Weekend Itinerary.
Pro Bach Tip:
If you start at Flamingo, then head to Earnest Bar & Hideaway, over to Bastion, down to Never Never and across to B1281 (or in the reverse order) that will be the easiest way to experience them all without backtracking.
