Bachelorettes, I have put together a list of some of my favorite places in the most random spaces around town. If you are looking to do something different or for a classy place to grab a cocktail then you and your Baches will want to read this!
This spot is very elusive, with no signage. Old Glory used to be an old Boiler Room. It is very industrial, featuring a metal smokestack, concrete and metal winding staircase, concrete floors and brick walls. Even though it has a speakeasy vibe they have a DJ at night and you can definitely turn up.
Pro Bach Tip:
It is in an Alley behind the building with just the number 103 and a Golden Painted Triangle around the door. There is a photo booth up the stairs, past the DJ Booth.
Location:
1200 Villa Place, Suite 103, Nashville, TN 37212
Patterson House is a cozy Speakeasy. It looks as if it is “a Blue house” on Division Street as you make your way into Midtown but it is really a very quaint Speakeasy with delicious craft cocktails. It is a low-key and classy place. If you think you can keep quiet, check it out!
Pro Bach Tip:
I recommend going early because they do not take reservations. They open at 5:00pm. It is traditional speakeasy rules so if you don’t think your group can keep the volume at a low level then this is not the place for you.
Location:
1711 Division Street, Nashville, TN 37203
The Flamingo Cocktail Club is not hard to miss with it is coral color building. It is an upscale cocktail club with limited cell phone use (only allowed on the patio) and a strict dress code.
Pro Bach Tip:
They do take reservations. This is also more of a speakeasy-esque type of place, so I only recommend going if you are not trying to get rowdy or for a drink after dinner, before you head out on the town.
Location:
Wedgewood-Houston 509 Houston Street, Nashville, TN 37203
House of Cards is a Magician lover’s dream. It is tucked away in the Basement of the “Johnny Cash Museum”. You can grab a drink at the bar and walk the floor to see the different Magicians doing multiple card tricks and other dazzling magic.
Pro Bach Tip:
You can make a reservation for dinner to see the entire Magic show. However, if you are just looking for one drink the Magicians that work on the floor are pretty mind-boggling too. Dress code is enforced here so jean shorts and boots won’t cut it at this venue.
Location:
In the basement of the Johnny Cash Museum
Hidden Bar is just that, “hidden”. It is fun trying to find it and the hotel also features an awesome rooftop bar, Rarebird. The hidden bar has an amazing craft cocktail list and a few Christmas decorations all year long, but at Christmas time this place goes ALL out and is a definite MUST see!
Pro Bach Tip:
You have to go in through Makeready on the bottom floor of the Noelle hotel and then go past the bar (on your way to the restroom), look for the storage closet. It is off to the left as you exit the restaurant to head to the restroom. You go through the Storage closet and into one of the best speakeasies in Nashville! Good Luck!
Location:
Noelle Hotel at 200 4th Ave N. Nashville, TN 37219
