Recently, I reached out to Liz Porter, Marketing and Event Manager, at Redneck Riviera to learn more about the establishment and what makes them unique. I go to this bar a decent amount myself and I still learned a few things so give this article a read.
Like most of the bars on Broadway, this is a multi-level live music spot. This three-story music venue is owned by Country music star John Rich.
When asked what sets them apart from the other “celebrity” establishments on the strip, Liz said, “John Rich is a part-owner and has his hands on many aspects of the business. One of those aspects includes handpicking the artists that play on the stages. If you’re lucky, you might get a chance to meet him as he makes appearances regularly. John has been known to hop on stage, sing a few songs, and even buy the bar a round of his Redneck Riviera whiskey.”
Not only, is it very cool that John Rich is heavily involved in the business and makes regular appearances but the other thing I really love, that Liz told me about, is that they are the home to two Heroes bars. The Hero Bars each feature an Instagram-worthy large American flag made out of beer cans. There are also Challenge Coins throughout the bar tops in each of those bars too.
If you think the Hero bars are a great tribute to our men in uniform and you have a ton of appreciation for those who fight to keep us safe, then you will love this. Liz told us, “All active duty Military, Veterans, Firefighters, Police, and First Responders receive their first drink on the house.” I don’t know about you but this is a big reason I love to support this bar, not to mention, it is also super fun!
They recommend trying their whiskey while you are there. Redneck Riviera has its own, American blended Whiskey and Granny Rich Reserve. Another great thing about the Whiskey is that 10% of the sales from this whiskey is donated to Folds of Honor. Folds of Honor is an organization that supports the children and spouses of our fallen and disabled service members by providing them with educational scholarships.
As I mentioned, Redneck Riviera has many reasons to make it on your Bachelorette Weekend Itinerary but they are also launching a new Honky Tonk Happy Hour on their 2nd floor. This Honky Tonk Happy Hour will be from 1-6 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. So, while you are on Broadway make sure you head to Redneck Riviera to listen to the music and take advantage of the drink specials!
Pro Bach Tip:
If you need to beat the heat, step into the first floor of this bar because it has some kickin’ AC and rockin’ bands. Also, Liz said, “Don’t forget to visit the rooftop deck where there is live acoustic music, lawn games and unforgettable views of Music City.”
